Horace began his service in the 44th and then was transferred to the 140th. He completed his three years of service and was honorably discharged, then mustered into the 121st. He was transferred to the 65th and finally mustered out on July 17, 1865. Additional information is included about his appearance, his personal history, and time spent in hospitals.
